Beyond the first 100 days

So, your first three months in your new job are done. 😅

That first 100 days, when you focussed your time and energy getting to know everyone and everything, whilst also putting the pieces together of what you've seen and heard to develop your longer term plans.

What happens now?

Your next big milestone will be your one-year anniversary. The actions you take in the next nine months will become a part of the story and review everyone gives.

If you don't continue to lead with intention then the positive impact and momentum you created in your first 100 days will be lost.

It isn't time to take your foot off the pedal, instead you need to regroup and provide clarity about what the rest of the year looks like.

With a 100 day plan in place, by the end of it you should be in a great position to articulate what's next.

It's time to start taking action.

Share those quick wins that you've delivered so far and show how those are the first steps towards delivering the vision.

Be clear on the journey ahead and the milestones that will be achieved along the way. What are the outcomes you are looking for at the end of months six, nine and twelve?

Keep up the visibility and communication so your teams and stakeholders remain energised and understand why it's important and what it will mean for them.

Continue to listen - it will help maintain that connection and tell you if you are really taking people with you.

Don't neglect yourself, whether it's reviewing your personal development plan, reflecting on and strengthening your support network, or continuing to work on maintaining those boundaries.
